I have always had a love for art and a constant need to create. Growing up I often found myself doodling and sketching in my notebook. For the longest time I was afraid of exploring the added element of color thats found in painting. I had become so comfortable sticking to black and white drawings in charcoal. I was finally pushed to explore painting in college as I felt drawn towards exploring an education in art. I fell in love with painting and the endless array of colors that can be created with oil paints. Now painting is all I want to do! I love adding greater depth in my paintings by applying the paint in various ways to create more texture. I like to let the paint and the tools I use to apply it work in harmony to create that perfect balance of textured bliss. Painting is my happy place and I hope that my work can bring others that same happiness.
