Self Love Peony Collection

Self Love Peony Collection

I’m really excited about my Self Love Peony Collection release for a few reasons!

First off, I finally figured out the name for this peony collection! I wanted it to be meaningful and fitting for this time of year. I decided to call it the "Self Love Peony Collection". I LOVE the depth and meaning behind the names of these paintings. Each painting name is a different affirmation that reminds us that we have value and are loved. I may not be the best at it, but I am a firm believer in the power of positive self talk. Let these peonies serve as a reminder to love and empower yourselves!

My second reason has a little bit of a story and takes me back to Summerfest up in Logan, Utah. I did a couple art festivals this year, and they can be pretty intimidating. For starters there’s tons of people and you have to talk to them, especially if you want to make any sales. My husband helped me come up with an easy conversation starter to break the ice. We started asking people that came by what their favorite flower was. We got a variety of answers from sunflowers (which is my favorite btw) to Lilies. Out of all the responses we got from people, peonies came out on top! Ever since Summerfest I kept telling myself, “I need to paint a peony". Well folks I’ve finally done it, I painted a peony. I didn’t just paint one peony, I painted plenty of peonies to go around!

I am in love with the thought of these mini peony paintings being given to loved ones on Valentine’s Day! If you’re struggling to figure out what to give that special someone look no further. These Peonies would be the best kind of flowers to give them, flowers that last a lifetime! You have my permission to forward this email to your significant others. Go ahead and give them (wink wink) subtle but not so subtle hint to get you one of these beauties!

I’m loving Miley Cyrus’s new song “Flowers”. On of my favorite lines in the song is "I can buy myself flowers". The song can serve as a reminder that we can be perfectly okay on our own. We don’t need someone else to love us to feel loved. If this time of year makes you feel alone and unloved, remember that the most important person you need love from is yourself. Take some time to love yourself. Go out and do or get something that lights you up! You can buy yourself flowers!

I wanted to allow the collection to live on once the original paintings sold. We now offer mini prints of the full collection available in clear acrylic frames! Pick your favorite to serve as a reminder to love you for you!
